Federico Campanini touched the climbing community on an international level. When he worked as a guide for RMI on Mt. Rainier he influenced his clients as well as his fellow guides, such as Katy Laveck who worked with Federico on several trips. In September 2009, Katy Laveck, made wool hats and sold them at a local event in Ashford, Washington. The fundraiser was an amazing success and all of the hats were sold. She donated all of the proceeds to the foundation. Thank you, Katy, for your personal efforts towards this cause. I would also like to thank Whittaker Mountaineering for supporting the event.
